1. Requirements for Lessee and Driver(s)

The tenant and drivers must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Valid driver's licence held for at least 2 years.
  • Driver's age over 25 years old.
  • Provide ID card, debit/credit card, residence card or passport with valid address.

Only drivers listed in the contract are authorised to drive the vehicle.

2. Vehicle Inspection

By signing the contract, the lessee confirms having inspected the vehicle and that it is in good condition.

3. Use of the Vehicle

The tenant receives the rental vehicle in good working condition, with all documents, tyres, tools and accessories. Drivers must conserve them and drive in accordance with the Traffic Code. The following is expressly prohibited:

  • Driving by persons not authorised in the contract.
  • Transporting people or goods that imply sublease of the vehicle.
  • Transporting people or merchandise without the required administrative authorisation.
  • Illegal activities.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, fatigue or illness.
  • Using the vehicle to push or tow other vehicles.
  • Participating in races or sports competitions.
  • Leaving the vehicle badly parked or poorly guarded.
  • Manipulating the odometer. Any damage must be reported immediately.
  • Travelling outside the national road network or unsuitable terrain. Damage to the underside or mechanical components from bad driving or restricted road areas is excluded from insurance.
  • Failing to stop the vehicle when a warning light or alarm indicates an anomaly. The lessor must be contacted to arrange the appropriate proceeding. Unauthorised repairs will not be reimbursed.
  • Driving the vehicle to another country.
  • Extreme or demanding driving causing premature wear not corresponding to kilometres driven.
  • Altering any technical characteristics, keys, equipment, tools or accessories. The lessee must bear reconditioning costs and immobilisation charges.
  • Assigning, renting, mortgaging, pledging, selling or otherwise encumbering the vehicle.
  • Transporting children without the mandatory approved child restraint device.

The lessee commits to faithful compliance with all traffic regulations and is personally responsible for the payment of any fines or compensations.

4. Return of the Vehicle

The lessee shall return the vehicle with all documents, keys, tyres, tools and accessories at the place and date stipulated in the contract. Failure to comply entitles the lessor to charge the lessee's card for extraordinary service fees or replacement parts.

Extensions must be requested before the contract expires and are subject to prior authorisation and vehicle availability. Non-compliance empowers the lessor to legally demand the return of the vehicle.

5. Hire Charges

The lessee agrees to pay and authorises the lessor to collect, after the rental ends, any expenses, penalties, fines, repairs or other costs caused by misuse. This includes:

  1. Exceptional services hired, used or incurred.
  2. Charges for loss of documentation, tyres, tools or accessories.
  3. Repair costs for damage caused by the lessee or a third party, including theft when: the vehicle was not used in accordance with established conditions, or the accident/police report was not completed on time or does not conform to reality.
  4. Fines and legal expenses from traffic infractions. A handling fee of 30 € applies per fine.
  5. Wrong refuelling: the lessee pays all costs (crane, tank emptying, etc.).
  6. Exceptional cleaning or upholstery repair (gum, resins, acids, oils, inks, liquids, smoking, animals).
  7. If the vehicle is declared a total loss, compensation at the new value of the vehicle including optional elements.
  8. Online bookings receive an automatic confirmation email, which is not valid for collection. Bookings are manually checked and availability confirmed within 24 hours. Website errors or pricing mistakes at the time of booking do not guarantee the quoted price.

6. Cancellation Policy

There is no cancellation fee or prepayment. You may cancel the booking at any time up to 24 hours before collection of the car.

7. Accidents and Insurance

The lessee and authorised drivers are included in the unlimited civil liability insurance policy taken out by the lessor. Full coverage applies when a damage report form or police report is presented. Included at no extra cost:

  • 24-hour road assistance
  • Replacement vehicle on request
  • Towing covered by full-cover insurance

In case of accident the lessee must:

  • Immediately inform the lessor.
  • Complete an accident report with full details of the other party and witnesses.
  • Notify authorities if anyone is injured.
  • Not abandon the vehicle without taking precautions to protect it.

In case of theft, file a police report and send a copy to the lessor.

Excess

For accidents against objects, scratches, interior damage, or incidents without a damage report or police report, a minimum excess of 150 to 300 € applies depending on the vehicle. This may be requested as a deposit on collection or charged on return.

Important

The lessee is responsible for any damage, injury, loss or death caused to third parties due to negligent, culpable or fraudulent driving.

Wheel blowouts are considered negligent use and are not covered. Theft is 100% covered with 0 € excess when the key is returned.

What's Not Covered

  • Parking and traffic fines (plus 30 € administration fee).
  • Replacement keys.
  • Damage to tyres and wheels.
  • Removed equipment or paperwork.
  • Break-in damage when personal belongings were left inside.
  • Incorrect fuel — the hirer pays all repair costs.

8. Responsibility of the Lessor

The lessor has taken the necessary precautions to avoid mechanical failures. In the event of such failures, the lessor does not assume responsibility for damages directly or indirectly caused to the lessee.

9. Debit / Credit Card Charges

By signing the contract, the lessee authorises charges on the provided card for the agreed amount, damages not covered by insurance, or any other charge attributable to the tenant.

Accepted Cards

  • Credit card
  • Visa
  • Mastercard

If the lessee cannot provide an accepted card, a deposit of 200 to 500 € is required.

Not Accepted

  • Visa Electron
  • Maestro Cards
  • Revolut or other online bank debit cards
  • Cards marked "For electronic use only"

10. Extra Charges

The final amount is subject to the vehicle being returned in the same condition, on the agreed date, place and time. Any extra charges attributable to the lessee will be debited from the card on file.

11. Compulsory Insurance and Road Assistance

The rental includes roadside assistance. Vehicles have tracking devices for kilometre verification, anti-theft and emergency purposes.

12. Transport and Collection

The lessee may request transport of the vehicle to a different address. This service must be requested together with the lease.

13. Law and Jurisdiction

Any dispute shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dénia, with express renunciation of any other.
