Lower VAT on new homes in Spain

Starting with 20 August this year, housing VAT down from 8 to 4 per cent. The change applies to the year ended 31 December.

This is an initiative of the Spanish government side to increase activity in the housing market in the country. There are however certain criteria to object, use and boligselger. Firstly, the property sold by businessmen, lawyer. Whoever sells the property does not have to be licensed real estate agent, but running a business, whether sole proprietorship, corporation or other type of company.

Business premises are not included in the new scheme, even if the venue is attached dwelling. For business premises paid full property tax, 8 percent.
