1. Maspalomas Beach Gran Canaria
Of all the beaches on Gran Canaria, this beach is known worldwide, especially for the Maspalomas Dunes, and many know it from the image that almost always is at the front of the Gran Canaria guide books. The beach has areas for the whole family.
2. Playa del Ingles beach Gran Canaria
Playa del Ingles is a large beach, where there can be a bit windy at times, especially after four o’clock. It has a promenade with many shops, bars, restaurants and there is the possibility of renting jet skis. The beach is surrounded by hotels, apartments, shops, discos. This is one of the best beaches in Gran Canaria.
3. Meloneras Beach Gran Canaria
Located in a quiet area, next to the golf course Meloneras. The beach is not too big, has a Red Cross facility, and is connected to Maspalomas beach by the lighthouse. The promenade has mostly good restaurants and clothing stores.
4. Amadores Beach Gran Canaria
This is a quiet beach with hardly any waves and great for kids. Have lots of bars and shops and is surrounded by two hotels: Gloria Palace Royal, and Riu. There is also a Red Cross facility there.
5. Puerto Rico Beach Gran Canaria
Puerto Rico beach is similar to Amadores but slightly larger. Some waves and quiet. The most popular of all the beaches of Gran Canaria for British tourists. There are a few bars and shops, but less than in Amadores.
6. Puerto de Mogan Beach Gran Canaria
This is a small and quiet beach located in Puerto de Mogan. Most people who go there are tourists. On the beach in Puerto de Mogan you will find a variety of restaurants and souvenir shops.
7. Anfi del Mar Beach Gran Canaria
This is a white sand beach located at Anfi Beach. It’s a good idea to have flipflops as there are shells on the coast that can hurt your feet. You can rent jet skis, water skiing, and go on boat trips from here. It is one of the most popular beaches in Gran Canaria.
8. Arguineguin Beach Gran Canaria
Arguineguin is a small beach with black sand and is very quiet. Perfect if you want to relax in peace and quiet without the hustle and noise. Otherwise there is little to see around this beach for tourists.
9. Pozo Izquierdo Beach Gran Canaria
This is one of the windiest Gran Canaria`s beaches and is a favorite for surfers and windsurfers. On top of the beach there is a surf school.
10. Taurito Beach Gran Canaria
Taurito has a small beach that lies beneath Lago Taurito water park, between two hotels. You can rent paddle boats, jet skis, or play volleyball. There is also a mini golf course at the entrance to the apartment complex.
11. San Agustin Beach Gran Canaria
San Agustin beach is a small beach, and it can be quite windy at times. It is rarely overcrowded and is one of the first beaches of Gran Canaria which was popular with tourists, especially Scandinavians. There are two Red Cross facility here, one on each side of the beach.

The capital Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, has four beaches. Las Canteras is considered the world’s best city beach. A great place for families. Dozens of restaurants, ice cream shops, souvenir shops, etc. This beach has restrooms, showers, and Red Cross facilities.
13. El Confital Beach Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
A sand and pebble beach. Great for fishing. It’s a bit difficult to get there by car, so you have to go through a dirt road with lots of bumps and there is only one lane making it cramped for cars to pass each other. Best to park your car and walk to the beach.
14. Alcaravaneras Beach Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
This beach is located in front of the port of Las Palmas. We do not recommend swimming here as the water quality is not up to acceptable levels. But the beach is perfect for soaking up the sun, and Alcaravaneras beach is a favorite for all volleyball lovers.
15. La Laja Beach Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
Located near the outskirts of the capital next to the highway. This beach has black sand and is a quiet beach without too many people. We do not recommend this beach for children because of rough seas and strong winds. There is no Red Cross facility.
