Benidorm – Residents will be forced to register in Padron

Benidorm municipality pushing ahead plans to have 75 000 inhabitants registered in the Padrón by enforcing compulsory registration for all who live in the district for more than six months.

Ordfærer Agustín Navarro says that residents who live in the community for most of the year, but is registered in Padron in other cities, will first be invited to register in Benidorm on a voluntary basis, but if they refuse they will be forced
to do so.

The reason why the council wants to have 75,000 people or more registered on the Padron is because it will mean more tax revenue and other payments centrally .. Sr. Navarro that today there are 73 750 people registered Padron.
