Of all Torreviejas urban beaches this is a pretty small one probably the closest thing to the typical package holiday image of Costa Blanca, with high buildings right by the beach and bars and restaurants beach close to the beach. Parking is mildly almost impossible close to this beach, bus and bike is probably the best options to get here. Playa del Acequión is not easily accessible for the disabled.

Despite the lack of Blue Flag or Q for Quality status, this is a very popular site throughout the year. Neighboring Parque de Doña Sinforosa (just off the northern end of the beach) provides an attractive break from the sand, sun and Playa del Acequión.

The beach has a long promenade along the beach where you can find many bars and restaurants. Behind the beach is a large expanse of sand dunes and a “Watermill Park”. Playa de La Mata – Pueblo, with 3 watchtowers, 3 lifeguards at the beach and first aid station.

Playa de La Mata – Sweet, 4 watch towers, 5 lifeguards on the first line and a first aid station.
