The main building of the train station is a fairly new huge shopping mall with over 100 stores. The street Calle Larios in the center is the main shopping street in the city and side streets leads you to the Old Town, which is a fascinating place. Markets in Malaga

We all love a good market, the action, the smells, the sounds, and busy people. It is the best place to get a feel for the city and local food. The tradition of outdoor, organized and solid Spanish markets do not go further back than the 1980s. At special weekdays farmers and sellers where gathered in specific and assigned places, possibly a Feria space, a vacant building lot, a street stump or a large car park. To go looking in Spanish markets is becoming a popular sport among both Spaniards and foreigners here on the coast. Some are looking for used clothing, others hunt for paintings, medals, stamps and books, while others with open minds just walk between stalls, feel the atmosphere, the strange smells and all the colors.
