Bergerac is a city in southern France, 85 km east of Bordeaux. The town is located in the department of Dordogne and has approx 28,000 inhabitants.

Bergerac was a Huguenot main cities, and went back after wars in the 1500s and 1600s. The town has driven trade in wine, chestnuts, truffles and tobacco. Bergerac has a wine museum, Maison du vin, which was created in the 1600s. Here visitors can learn more about the 13 regional wines. Costi Museum houses the works of sculptor Constantin Costi Papachristpoulos. There is also a tobacco museum in Bergerac. It has four main themes: the discovery of tobacco, tobacco social history, tobacco and art, and tobacco art. It shall also have a large collection of tobacco.

The nearest airport is Roumanière Airport which is located four kilometers outside the center of Bergerac.
